Insurance Options

Public Insurance Options:

To be eligible for Connecticut Medicaid or other public health insurance programs, you must be a resident of the state of Connecticut in need of health care/insurance assistance, whose financial situation would be characterized as low-income. The specific program you may qualify for is also determined by additional factors such as disability status and dependent children.

Options to Apply or Check for Eligibility:

  • Households and individuals who wish to apply for or renew health coverage for children (HUSKY A & B); parents with dependent children (HUSKY A); caretakers/guardians of minor children (HUSKY A); pregnant women (HUSKY A); and adults under 65 without dependent children (HUSKY D), can apply online at www.accesshealthct.com or call 1-855-805-HEALTH (4325).

  • Households and individuals who are over 65 and older, blind or with disability and wish to apply for or renew Medicaid (HUSKY C) or Medicaid for Employees with Disabilities (MED-Connect) can apply online at www.connect.ct.gov or call  1-855-626-6632.
