    Governor Rell

The Legislature and Governor are deadlocked on the revenue portion of the budget and cuts from the Appropriations Committee budget seem inevitable.

That means the $20M to raise HUSKY dental rates in that budget is at risk. Please contact the Governor now and ask her:

Please keep $20M in the budget to raise HUSKY dental rates. It is just enough to make a difference.

    Here's why:

    • These funds, applied to increased HUSKY dental rates, will get thousands of kids the critical oral health care they need, reducing pain and suffering.
    • More poor children will receive care since more dentists will be able to participate in HUSKY because they will be able to cover their out-of-pocket costs.
    • More preventative dental care will reduce costs over time by reducing the need for expensive emergency and restorative care.
